The Southern Highlands of NSW is a unique regional area located just over and hour from Sydney, 90 minutes from Canberra and an hour from the coast.

The region boasts differing landscapes ranging from the steep sandstone cliffs and tumbling waterfalls of the Morton National Park to rolling green pasturelands.  It is home to many picturesque villages, wonderous natural attractions, colourful wildlife and gracious and historic homes.

The history associated with the Southern Highlands is a draw card for visitors, offering different attractions and experiences in each season.  Cellar doors, heritage sites, gardens, award winning restaurants and beautiful towns and villages are all ideal destinations that showcase the region.  The Highlands is also home to many renowned writers, artists and craftspeople providing local galleries with works and exhibitions.

Bowral is the hub of the Highlands and the commercial centre of the district with its wealth of cafes, restaurants and speciality shops and is supported by other main town centres that include Moss Vale, Mittagong, Berrima, Bundanoon and Robertson, each with its own history and identity. 

The district provides excellent health facilities, quality schools, TAFE and University Campuses and a variety of sporting amenities.
